We are phasing out free studio accounts

Why We're Doing This

Most importantly, as the use of the studio keeps increasing over time, the financial burden of maintaining the service grows with it. Yet, the income from selling the optional so-called Unlock1 upgrade for individual forms is no longer sufficient for maintaining the Tripetto studio as a primarily free service.

Secondly, the phasing-out of free studio accounts helps to better prevent abuse. We've learned that whenever malicious forms are reported to us, these generally originate from free accounts. We want to restrict the misuse of the studio as well as possible, even though we realize it's hard to eliminate completely.

What We're Changing

For the reasons explained above we decided to shift to another model by making a couple of changes.

• We are no longer offering free studio accounts;
• We're introducing paid-only studio accounts (i.e. Unlock All) for new users;
• Existing users will be asked how to proceed with their studio accounts.

What It Means for Studio Users

The phasing-out of free accounts and simultaneous introduction of paid Unlock All accounts mean that a couple of things are going to change for existing and new Tripetto studio users. The most important of them being the end of the free studio after its phase-out and the following steps.

New Users

New studio users can no longer create a free account and only request an Unlock All account. Unlock All accounts are paid accounts by definition and come standard with every single Tripetto feature for all forms in the account. Current Users

For existing users with free accounts, the studio availability during the phase-out period is as follows:

• Through October 31^st, 2026

  Existing studio users can use the studio normally through the end of October. Users may request an upgrade to a paid Unlock All account. We recommend that users, who do not intend to upgrade, but wish to secure collected data, extract everything they need by October 31^st, 2026. Accounts which are not upgraded to Unlock All in time, or not deleted by its owner, will be frozen and no longer accessible after this date.

• From November 1^st, 2026

  Existing studio users, who have not upgraded to a paid Unlock All account, or have not deleted their free accounts before November 1^st, can no longer access their free account and related data in any way after that. Active forms in all free accounts will stop working. Free accounts and their data are all frozen and awaiting permanent and irreversible deletion after year end.

• After January 1^st, 2027

  All frozen accounts, including related user information and collected data, are deleted completely and irreversibly. There will be no backups or copies whatsoever.

Alternative Tripetto Versions

In the meantime, or instead of the studio, you can also use the other versions of Tripetto for your projects, such as the WordPress plugin, or FormBuilder SDK for quick embedding in sites and applications.
